Shirley Franklin

A poignant  poem with which all of us who suffer from OCD and indeed other anxiety disorders will identify.
Home.

Department of psychiatry

and is this really me.

I look down the passage

and what do I see.

Tortured minds, lost dignity.

And if we can't be normal

then what is there left

Just feeling so bereft.

Wouldn't it be kinder

if in death you could find her.

Lost hope and full of fears

and oh the wasted years

And when my call hone

releases me from this torture zone.

Remember please no tears

For God alone has known

my heartache through the years

and now at last I see in Him I see

My longed for peace and tranquility
